Sales of F1® 22 on Steam amounted to almost $11 million in just the first month of release

The next part of the F1® series, F1® 22, was released on Steam on June 30, 2022, and, according to  GameSensor’s estimation, within a month from the release date, the number of copies sold was 200 thousand on the platform. F1® 22 sales on Steam for the same month amounted to almost $11 million.

The rating of F1® 22 on the Steam platform was 3 stars out of 5. Critics on the aggregator website Metacritic gave the PC version of the game 81 points out of 100 possible, but players on the same website rather negatively evaluated the novelty, giving it almost 3 points out of 10. The majority was disappointed, because they wanted to see something new, but in the end got a game very similar to the previous part.

The developer of F1® 22, as well as the entire F1® series, is Codemasters studio. The publishing duties were taken over by Electronic Arts.

If the new product is compared to the previous part of F1® 21, the sales and number of copies sold of F1® 22 in the first month of release are almost twice the amount of sales and installations of  F1® 21 for the same period.

The audience of F1 22 on Steam is 50% made up of English-speaking users. Almost 13% of players speak German. Spanish and French languages account for 5% of users each. The rest of the audience speaks Polish, Chinese, Portuguese and other languages.

The F1 22 game is available on PC and consoles: Sony PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series. All Xbox Game Pass subscribers can also try the new game.
